My DIL severely offended me, and she regretted it when I opened up about who I truly am.

Andrea, a 60-year-old woman, wrote us an emotional letter in which she told us her experience, which could easily be adapted into a drama film. She’s a widow, and her husband, Alex, died three years ago. Her son, Robert, is 30, and he is a highly accomplished young man who most likely has all that money can buy: a gorgeous car, a nice new house, and a very good and secure income.

Andrea explained that Robert earned his riches via hard work, and she was concerned that he would not have time to start a family because he was constantly busy with his profession. But Robert did have a relationship with a 28-year-old woman named Jessica. Andrea writes, “They had been together for a year when Robert chose to introduce Jessica to me.

-He was also planning to ask for my motherly blessing because he and Jessica were engaged. Of course, I was sad when they decided to marry, and I didn’t even get to meet her before my son proposed to her. But I didn’t say anything because I assumed Robert was an older boy who knew what he was doing. Andrea was surprised by how their first meeting turned out. Jessica arrived at their residence and immediately began bragging about her schooling, literacy, and “noble” origin.

Andrea remained silent virtually the entire time, while Jessica presented herself in the best possible light, but her heart was racing. Her words were: “I knew that my son’s choice was extremely wrong.” Andrea stated, “This young woman clearly did not love my son at all. She adored his money and the opulent lifestyle he was affording. When I once asked her if she wanted children with Robert, she grimaced and responded, “You must be kidding, Andrea!” I’m going to enjoy life, but babies will make it impossible!”

Andrea hesitated a lot, but she never told Robert how wrong his future wife’s behavior was. Furthermore, Jessica was quite kind in Robert’s presence, and she was always polite and courteous to Andrea while he was present. Andrea believed that Robert should be able to realize how wrong he was in choosing Jessica as his wife. She didn’t want to force him to make this decision; she wanted him to see for himself, even if it would cost him a lot.

Andrea writes, “So, their wedding day was approaching in a week, and Jessica and I had an especially difficult conversation.” She came to my house with Robert to collect up her dress, which the courier had brought me earlier per our arrangement. It was already her third dress, as she planned to wear three different ones for the wedding.”

Andrea simply questioned Jessica if it was essential to change three dresses during a wedding, especially because neither Jessica nor her parents contributed monetarily to the wedding; the entire burden fell on Robert. Jessica then lost her cool. When Robert went to the bathroom, she began hissing and calling Andrea names, attempting to disrespect her.

Andrea remembered, “She called me an uneducated, shallow person who doesn’t realize how great it is to have three wedding outfits. She claimed I was envious and said some really terrible things. Furthermore, she stated that I should not attend their wedding, that she wishes to end our relationship, and that she will urge Robert to do the same. Because she is ashamed of me, and Robert, a wealthy guy, should be ashamed of such a’shallow’ mother.”

Andrea nonetheless attended her son’s wedding, despite Jessica’s harsh words. She came there not to be joyful for her son, but to teach a filthy woman a good lesson. She writes, “I was going to give a speech, and afterward Jessica was meant to be completely devastated. Or, if her affections for my son were still genuine, she would swallow the bitter pill and remain with him. So, this was also a check-up for my DIL.

Andrea was given a word as the groom’s mother. Everyone was listening to her, expecting her to say something to her son and daughter-in-law. And she said something that caused a commotion at the wedding location. She took the microphone and announced, “Today, my son will marry. As a mother, I should have explained that I am letting him leave. But, as his boss, I am announcing that I am firing him.

I disagree with his choice because his now-wife has humiliated me numerous times. So I’ll leave it to them to start a new life, a new job, and get through this together.” Everyone remained silent. Then Jessica began shouting and bombarding Robert with questions. Robert assured her that he would tell her the facts after the wedding, and that his mother was actually the chairperson of his company.

His father, Alex, formerly owned the company, but following his death, Andrea took over ownership. And she was her son’s direct boss.Andrea stated that Robert was genuinely astonished when she claimed that Jessica insulted her. He then questioned Jessica if this was correct, but she began denying everything, of course. But then she said, “I just can’t believe that an illiterate person without a decent education could be the head of such a large trust! “How is this ever possible?”

Robert was offended by her remark and cancelled the wedding. Of course, Jessica was enraged, and it wasn’t until she began offending Robert that she revealed her true personality. But she was ordered to leave, and Robert even considered ordering her a taxi one last time. Robert and Andrea are now enjoying their normal lives, working for the late Alex’s company. Robert is dating a woman, whom he plans to introduce to Andrea. The woman ended her letter by adding, “I hope I won’t have to give anyone any more lessons. “I want my son to be happy.”
