Sidney Kimble West and her father, Sam West graced the stage at the prestigious 2020 National SHAG Dance Championships.  Sam, a hidden legend in the dance world, recently had the opportunity to join his daughter for a truly mesmerizing performance of Ben E. King’s timeless classic, “Stand By Me.” As the music started playing, their solemn faces transformed into pure delight, gracefully gliding together across the dance floor.

This event was more than just a dance; it was a joyous celebration of their family’s deep passion for the art. Sam discovered his passion for dance at a young age, thanks to the influence of his mother.

During his school years, he achieved great success by winning two junior national titles with his partner Terri Alberty. Their performance was a beautiful showcase of talent, serving as a heartfelt reminder of how dance has the power to unite people. “Dancing with my dad was an absolute dream come true,” Sidney exclaimed.
