Wactor’s bravery and selflessness were visible in the moments preceding the event. While bringing a coworker to her car after a shift at a rooftop pub, he observed three masked males near his car. Thinking his car was being towed, he instantly understood the danger when one of the men produced a revolver. Without hesitation, Wactor protected his coworker from harm, exemplifying the true spirit of a Southern gentleman.
His brother, Grant, told the Daily Mail, “We’re proud Southerners, and we would never let a woman walk to her car alone.” Grant regarded Johnny as a hardworking actor and family member. He stated, “I believe my brother worked harder than anyone I have ever known. “He was a devoted son and a caring brother.”The news of Wactor’s sudden demise shocked the entertainment industry as well as General Hospital viewers.
Fellow actor William deVry, who also stars on the show, expressed his sadness at the death. DeVry described it as a “senseless” tragedy, emphasizing Johnny’s enormous impact on everyone around him. He used social media, formerly known as Twitter, to remark, “There are no words to convey how meaningless this loss is. Johnny was an incredible individual. This is simply heartbreaking. Sofia Mattsson, who played his wife in the drama series, expressed her admiration for him via Instagram. She emphasized Wactor’s honesty, caring, humility, and hard work, as well as his capacity to make everyone around him happy and kind.
