Baked Pecan Pie French Toast

The boundary between breakfast and dessert is frequently blurred, and I am quite fine with it. If you enjoy sweet breakfasts, then this recipe is for you! Baked Pecan Pie French Toast is deliciously decadent and ideal for the holidays. The meal is prepared the night before and cooked in the morning for a quick and easy start to the day.

For this dish, I used challah bread, which is a favorite of mine for french toast due to its subtle sweetness and absorbency. Slightly stale bread works best, so keep it on the counter for a few hours if possible. The bread will marinate in a creamy egg mixture overnight before being piled on top of homemade brown sugar pecan sauce. Bake the French toast for about 30 minutes, or until the tops turn golden brown.

Before serving, flip each slice of toast to showcase the sweet and sauce pecans. This dish does not require any additional syrup, but a dab of whipped cream would not go amiss. Give this sweet breakfast treat a try for your next holiday or special event; it’s sure to become a new favorite.
