Her son, Robert, is 30 years old and extremely successful, with a great home, a fancy car, and a high income. Andrea worried that he was too busy. with work to have a family, but he had a 28-year-old girlfriend named Jessica.
Andrea wrote, “They had been together for a year before Robert introduced Jessica to me and asked for my approval because they were engaged.” I was outraged that they were engaged before I even met her, but I kept it quiet because Robert is an adult.” Andrea’s first meeting did not go as expected. Jessica showed up, boasting about her education and history. Andrea remained relatively mute, although she felt her son’s decision was wrong.
