The student didn’t get his exam paper in on time

A group of students is taking their end-of-year exams. The old beady-eyed moderator in charge of the classroom peered at the clock at the end of the room as the pupils frantically jotted down the remaining answers, knowing that time was running out. Minutes later, the clock struck a new hour, and the exam concluded.
“YOUR TIME IS UP!” The grumpy supervisor yelled, “Please hand in your papers into a pile on my desk.”

The pupils got up silently, sighing sighs of relief as they swiftly piled up test papers and filed out of the classroom. All but one boy, who was still finishing up his last answer. He finished only 20 seconds after the rest of his classmates, but when he stood up to put his exam on the pile, the old man motioned for him to halt. “Too late,” The old man scoffed, “You should’ve handed in your paper earlier.”

The student’s mouth fell open. This was not fair at all. He stammered for a bit, “Hey, come on, I-I should be allowed to h-hand this in.” However, the old man refused. The student then said smugly, “Do you even know who I am?” The old guy peered up at him through his glasses, taken aback by how arrogant this foolish child was acting. “No, I do not,” the moderator answered. Almost immediately, the student simply muttered, “Good,” put his paper into the midst of the pile, and ran out of the room.
