I responded, and the person on the phone replied, “You are aware that today is your first day?” I replied, “Yes!” I am genuinely here. David assigned me several tasks to complete.” He asked, “Who’s David?” Apparently, a complete stranger began telling me what to do, and I didn’t think twice about it. We had a nice laugh over that.
