After starring in a few TV advertisements, Hewitt, now 44, got her big break with the Disney Channel’s Kids Incorporated (1989–1991). The show, about young kids who play in a rock band, served as a springboard for numerous celebrities, including Fergie of the Grammy-winning band Black Eyed Peas, Mario Lopez of Saved by the Bell and Access Hollywood, and Eric Balfour, who starred in 24 and Haven.

In real life, Hallisay is an excellent husband and father of three. The couple married in 2013 and welcomed their first daughter, Autumn, only days later. The couple then welcomed Atticus in 2015 and Aiden in 2021. Hewitt, who had worked ceaselessly since she was a youngster, stepped away from the spotlight in 2015, citing a desire to spend more time with her wife and children.
“There was so much going on in my personal life that I felt I needed some space and time to just be. I’ve really enjoyed the break, and I feel like now, having returned to acting, it’s done a beautiful thing for me in that it’s made everything that I do in my acting/entertainment life not less important, but less like, ‘It’s everything all the time,’ as it used to be.”
During her absence, Hewitt was also attempting to recover from the death of her mother, who died of cancer at the age of 67 in 2012, a loss she says “feels very raw.” During this difficult time in her life, Jennifer decided to leave Twitter.
