When we are asked to a wedding, we immediately think of the following: cake, guests, music, and food. In general, we go to weddings expecting to eat more fine and copious food than usual and dance a lot. It is normal to expect to have fun. However, it is not uncommon for things to fail or just not mesh with what we expected.
It was my aunt and her fiancé’s wedding. Everything was going well until we came to the “I do” portion. When it came my aunt’s turn, instead of saying “I do,” she cried “I can’t do this!” and fled away. That’s horrible, right? It became worse. As she left, her fiancé turned around and yelled, “What about the baby?!” That was how we discovered my aunt was pregnant.

Have you been invited to a failed or unusual wedding? What happened? Here’s another story. My cousin’s wedding. He was 19, and the bride was sixteen. Both come from troubled households that despise one other. Relatives on both sides continuously sought to insult one another. The bride’s brother had just been released from prison, and he was on the verge of sparking a brawl with at least two other guests.

We had to travel to another part of the city to register their marriage, and just before the ceremony began, my cousin mentioned that the rings had fallen out of his pocket at the bride’s house, but he had not picked them up for some reason, so there were no rings for the ceremony. It was disastrous.
