This 18-month-old, upon hearing his favorite song, began to feel the rhythm and dance so energetically that everyone was amazed.

As a dance teacher, your infant will hear the music for each recital multiple times, becoming more and more familiar with it as the days go by. It’s truly a special experience to witness how the music and movement slowly become ingrained in their memory. Hunter, who was just 18 months old at the time, was a perfect example of this. He would sit perfectly motionless during the slow, soft parts of the song, almost as if he was absorbing the rhythm. But as soon as the music picked up, his tiny body would come alive. He began “dancing,” or at least moving with the music, in his own adorable way. It was a sight to behold.

A Star is Born

At our small, intimate studio recital, we decided to put him on stage and play the music to see what he would do. Everyone was curious, and we hoped he would be just as charming as he was at home. When the music began to play, Hunter’s reaction was just as we had hoped. He was an absolute delight. He danced with pure joy and excitement, his little arms and legs moving to the beat in the most endearing way. His performance was simple yet full of heart, and it brought smiles to the faces of everyone watching.

Now, over 10 years later, Hunter has matured significantly, and his passion for dance has only deepened. He’s grown into a thoughtful and talented young dancer. Looking back, we are so grateful to have captured that special moment and shared it with our friends and family on YouTube. It’s a cherished memory that showcases his early love for dance, and we continue to look forward to watching him grow and flourish in the years to come.
