What Really Happened After Hours

I had to remain late at work to complete a few reports. The office was unusually quiet, and I assumed I was alone until I observed my supervisor leaving his office. He didn’t appear to notice me and went straight to the office kitchen, looking about as if he was up to something.

Curious, I looked in and saw him furiously waving a towel at the microwave, where smoke was pouring out. He tried to reheat something but forgot to remove the metal spoon. The next morning, he blamed the entire mess on “poor maintenance” and issued a memo prohibiting personal food from the kitchen.
