A car driven by a distressed dog on a rural road in the Evan’s Creek Mountains. The dog became enraged and refused to let anyone approach him since he was so hungry. The dog was eventually given the name “Bear.” In trying to get help, the motorist snapped photos of Bear and shared them on social media. When Amanda found out about Bear, she put her plans on hold and resolved to help him immediately.
Despite her family’s warnings not to go because it is dangerous, Amanda and her friend Dylan began their hunt in the hopes of locating the puppy. After several hours of searching, they found the dog, but as feared, Bear was terrified and refused to let anyone touch him. They tried food, snacks, and a variety of weird tactics to entice him, but it didn’t work. Amanda and her friend had to return home as dusk fell, but they came again the next day.

The next day, they found Bear in the same spot, and after several more futile tries, the two devised a new strategy to entice Bear. Amanda decided to “play it????” and lie down on the ground to persuade the dog that she required assistance. After Amanda had been immobile on the ground for a few hours, something happened that moved the hearts of many animal lovers across the world.
Bear approached Amanda and sniffed her for 20 minutes before approaching, believing she needed help. The dog quickly lost interest and left, but Amanda persisted.
Bear turned and sat down next to Amanda after a few moments, as if to signal that he was with her. After a few more hours, Amanda was able to gain Bear’s trust and persuade him that he just had her best interests in mind. Bear escorted Amanda to the car, and they promptly drove to the vet.

Bear was treated and cared for, and as he regained his strength, a family decided to adopt him shortly after. The dog no longer has to live on the streets because he now has a loving family and a home of his own. Bear’s attempt to help Amanda when she was on the ground reveals a lot about this wonderful dog’s personality. Naturally, Amanda deserves our highest respect and thanks for her efforts to save Bear.
