Judy and Gina’s family property has experienced significant changes. What started as a typical A-frame house has developed into a multigenerational living place centered on Tiny Homes. As their family expanded, they needed a new arrangement. Gina reflected on the change, saying, “When my son got married, I decided that I would not be able to maintain this property on my own.”

That revelation paved the way for a substantial adjustment. Rather than downsizing alone, Gina handed up the big house to her son, Andrew, and his wife, Emily, while building her own Tiny Home on the family property. But she wasn’t the only one who embraced a new way of life; she also built a Tiny Home for her mother, Judy. The idea was not only to simplify life, but to keep connected while maintaining personal space.

“Being together is very important for our family unit, to have each other, but everyone have their own space,” Gina said. Judy’s little cottage represents independence on the family estate. Their family homestead is now a tribute to the strength of family, inventiveness, and the enduring attractiveness of simple living.
