1. YOU DO NOT LISTEN WHILE HE SPEAKS. If you don’t listen when he speaks, you’re disrespecting him. When we are not totally engaged with what our partner has to say, they feel irrelevant and invalidated. To show respect for your husband, pay full attention when he speaks and try to listen with an open mind, even if you don’t always agree with him.
2. YOU ARE TALKING BADLY ABOUT HIM. Whether you speak negative things about your husband in public or behind his back, you are not treating him with respect. No one enjoys feeling evaluated or mocked in front of others, especially in marriage. While it is fine to vent your frustration with him, do so constructively and without putting him down.
3. shout at him. Yelling at your man is unpleasant and can only ruin your connection with him. When you disagree with your husband, step back and try to relax before continuing the discussion. This will help ensure that both of you are treated respectfully. 4. Ignore his emotions. We all have feelings. Your husband, like everyone of us, deserves to feel valued and understood.
Make ensure that you are actually listening to your husband and considering his ideas and feelings while making decisions. When you do this, you show that you respect his opinion as much as your own. 5. NOT ASKING FOR HIS OPINION ON THINGS. If you do not include your husband in decision-making or seek his advice on problems, you are not showing enough respect for him.

Your husband will feel as if you do not respect his input, which may further alienate the two of you. So, the next time you’re contemplating a decision, ask your husband what he thinks, even if it’s only to get his views and opinions. Show him that you appreciate and value his opinion just as much as your own. This will show him that he is an equal partner in the relationship and that you value him.
6. You don’t prioritize him. One of the indicators that you are not treating your husband with adequate respect is that you do not prioritize him. This includes not doing things that show him you value him, such as spending time with him or becoming interested in his hobbies and interests. This can make your husband feel as if he is unimportant to you and that you do not care about your marriage.
Respecting your husband entails making sure he understands how important he is to you by making him a priority in your life.7. YOU DO NOT CARE ABOUT HIM.
Caring for and loving your husband is being there for him when times are tough and supporting him through it all. In fact, it begins with tiny gestures such as asking about his day, giving him loving embraces, or simply listening. No matter how modest the gesture, it will show your spouse that you care about him, and he will feel respected as a result.
8. You punish him by depriving him of his conjugal rights. Denying your husband’s conjugal rights out of anger or retribution does not demonstrate respect, but rather conveys the idea that you do not care about him. Instead of denying him, discuss what is going on so that you may reach an agreement together. This will demonstrate to your husband that you still respect him and are prepared to work out your issues rather than punish one other.
