Hotel worker reveals eight things you should never do when staying in one

Staying in hotels is commonly regarded as a pleasurable getaway that many people look forward to. However, a hotel employee warns that there are some things to keep in mind when staying there. A woman who works at a hotel’s front desk outlines eight things you should never do while staying there. These firsthand experiences are intended to help you have the greatest time possible while visiting a hotel.

“I work a front desk at a hotel and I’m gonna read off a list of things you should not do as someone who is coming to visit a hotel,” the female user wrote on TikTok. Showing up at the hotel on the wrong date “Don’t show up the day after your reservation assuming you’ll check in. It has gone into no-show mode, and we no longer have that reservation,” wrote TikToker @mamafromarkansas.

Booking a third party. The TikToker mentioned that booking through a third party may make it more difficult if the guest has to change any specifics about their stay. “Do not book third party, do not book with them… we cannot touch that reservation because you booked third party,” she went on Booking the incorrect dates.
The TikToker also stated that if you book the wrong dates for your hotel stay, you are solely responsible.

“Do not get mad at an employee, because you booked the wrong dates for the reservation – it’s not our fault and we send you a confirmation via email, so that’s your fault for not double checking,” she told the audience. Checking availability. The hotel employee emphasized that if there is no availability, it is pointless to ask repeatedly.

She expressed concern: “If you call and ask if we have availability on a specific date and we say no, please don’t ask four times…” I’m looking at the screen, and it’s not showing any inventory for those dates.
