Each of us maintains a unique set of habits, rules, and customs in the private realms of our homes. However, there are people whose eccentric, perplexing, or frankly weird lifestyles can leave visitors in a state of shock.

When I was 12, a buddy invited me over to swim in her friend’s pool. She led us to her room to change, and as I was changing, I heard my companion mumble, “What the hell..” I turn around and see around 8-10 used maxi pads stacked up on this girl’s desk.

The female entered shortly after, and my friend immediately asked her what the pads were all about. Her parents allegedly forced her to do so in order to ensure she was not pregnant and/or remained “pure”.
