The two are having a vibrant chat, but you won’t understand anything if you just speak English. This discussion has a lot of hand motions, which are rather popular among Sicilians.

The older woman begins by speaking while clapping her hands, then motions up and down. Shortly later, the small daughter imitate her, clapping and babbling nonsense. Grandmother has a few extra actions, such as holding out her hands, shaking them back and forth in a “praying” motion, and gesturing towards her head. The toddler seemed to be paying close attention.
