Love affects people of all ages; many people are familiar with this statement. In fact, people are more prone to seek mates around their own age. Gary Hardwick, a native of the American state of Tennessee, demonstrated that an age gap is no barrier to true love.
The 19-year-old boy discovered that his mentor, John Urrey, had been killed in an automobile accident. Gary went to see the deceased during his last trip. When he arrived at the funeral procession, he chose to offer words of comfort to John’s family.
While talking with relatives, he noticed a woman much older than him, and despite the fact that the situation did not lend itself to acquaintance, he could not resist. It turned out to be John’s mother, Amelda Errel.
Gary couldn’t stop thinking about Amelda and decided to call her and invite her for a walk in the park. Following this meeting, the new Romeo discovered he had fallen madly in love, and the selected one reciprocated. Gary and Amelda started calling and meeting, and after two weeks, the guy decided to propose to his sweetheart, to which she said, “Yes.”
The couple held a small wedding, to which only their closest friends were invited. The 53-year age difference didn’t concern the pair in love, but the woman’s children were suspicious about marriage. They feel Gary only wants the wealth from their aging mother.
