5 Foods We Miss That You Won’t Find in Grocery Stores Today

Do you ever browse in the grocery store for a snack that has been discontinued for a long time? Yes, we miss them too. These defunct items have such delicious flavors! Some of them we miss since they were new and had never been seen before! Others we miss simply because they tasted so nice. Do you recall these ten foods from years ago? Take a look at these long-gone supermarket goods, as well as one that has been in production for over 170 years but is set to be retired.

Despite being a staple of the candy aisle for the past 171 years, Necco wafer candies (and the New England Confectionary Co. in general) may soon be obsolete. While the company is recognized for other candies than the Necco wafer, the multi-colored, pastel confection is divisive, with people either loving or hating it. Michael McGee, Chief Executive, announced in March that the company was looking for potential purchasers, but if none were found, the company could be forced to lay off 395 employees, the majority of its workforce, and go out of business by May.

1) Triple Treat Ice Cream Sealtest was long thought to be the best ice cream brand. When they released their Triple-Treat with three flavors in a neat design in the 1950s, this colorful dessert was a novelty! It also tasted delicious.

2) Hershey’s Bar None candy bar. What’s not to appreciate about delicious chocolate-covered layers? This was formerly one of my personal favorites. This 1980s confectionery has a dedicated internet community that wants to bring it back! It appears that a firm is attempting to re-release this fantastic sweet.

3) Jell-o Chiffon Pie Filling. There are many different pie fillings available, but this one was particularly delicious. The lemon and chocolate tastes were both delicious!

4) Stouffer’s Ice Cream. This dessert was only available on grocery shelves for a short period of time in 1974. The ice cream market is quite competitive.

5)Jets Cereal If you liked sugar and vitamins, this was the cereal for you. When anything has the word “sugar” in the name, you know it’s going to be tasty. The interesting shapes were also very popular. You may watch a television commercial for this breakfast treat below.
