Ashraful Arefin, a talented photographer from Bangladesh, had the rare opportunity to capture the quick growth and change of one of the world’s smallest and prettiest pets. Normally, these fragile little individuals remain concealed from view after birth. But this time, the world had a front-row seat. At first glance, the small infant resembled a wrinkled, noisy bundle rather than anything identifiable.

With its closed eyelids and raw, delicate skin, it was difficult to envisage the fluffy creature it would eventually become. Even so, it was strangely adorable. Still guessing what it could be?

In just one month, this once-unidentified infant evolved into a soft, fluffy ball of sheer sweetness that warmed hearts all over.
