The motorist drove quietly, remaining toward the center of the road. An ancient dog was napping in the passenger seat. 😱😱 Then, when nothing seemed out of place, an automobile emerged ahead. A weird automobile was gently driving forward. At one point, it slowed down, the back door opened slightly, and a black garbage bag was thrown onto the roadside. The automobile accelerated quickly and disappeared around the turn.

The driver stiffened up. The dog grumbled and slowly raised its head. He slowed and eventually came to a stop. The rubbish bag on the side has moved. His heart raced in his chest. He stepped out of his car and approached the bag. It was filthy and soggy. He knelt and felt the sack. Something jerked at the exact instant. When he saw what was inside, he nearly passed out. With shaky hands, he pulled out a knife and carefully slit open the bag. There was some cloth beneath the plastic layer. And from within, a tiny child’s hand emerged. Alive.

He drew back, surprised. Then he carefully unwrapped the fabric. A child lay in front of him. A small boy. Approximately two years old. His face was caked in mud, his lips pallid, and his eyes closed. He bundled the boy into his jacket, grabbed him up, and carried him to the car. The dog moaned quietly before licking the boy’s cheek. The youngster groaned and went quiet again.

The man got behind the wheel. His fingers were shaking. What happens now? Police? Hospital? Or… He drove to the hospital. Later, he learned the news. A youngster has gone missing. Two years old. The parents are nowhere to be found. Most likely, they escaped. A week later, he filed for interim guardianship. A month later, it’s permanent.
