A very elderly couple is celebrating their 75th wedding anniversary. The man asks his wife, “Dear, there is something that I must ask you,” “It has always bothered me that our tenth child never looked quite like the rest.” “Now, I want to assure you that these seventy-five years have been the most wonderful experience I could have ever hoped for, and your answer could not take all of that away.”

“But, I must know, did he have a different father?” The wife lowers her head, reluctant to look her husband in the eyes, and confesses. “Yes, he did.” The elderly man is deeply shaken, as reality hits him harder than he expected. With tears in his eyes, he asks, “Who?” Who was he? “Who was the father?”
Again, the woman lowers her head, initially saying nothing as she struggles to summon the fortitude to tell her husband the truth. Finally, she says to him: “It was you.”
