Horrifying video shows missing child discovered on top of Hersheypark monorail track nearly 100 feet

Visitors at Hersheypark witnessed a frightening scene when a young child was spotted walking along the park’s elevated monorail track. According to park officials, the incident occurred in the afternoon when the child somehow managed to access the restricted area near the ride. Witnesses say the child had already made it onto the elevated track before being noticed.

Emergency personnel and Hersheypark security quickly responded, halting the monorail ride and rushing to ensure the child’s safety. Park staff guided the child down safely without any injuries reported.

Guests who saw the incident described it as “terrifying” and “a moment that felt like it could have ended in tragedy.” Many praised the quick actions of the staff, whose rapid response prevented a potential accident.

Hersheypark released a brief statement afterward, confirming that the child was safe and reunited with their family. The park also noted that it is reviewing safety protocols to prevent similar incidents in the future.

The monorail, a long-time Hersheypark attraction that offers a scenic ride over the park, remained closed for a short time before resuming operations later in the day.

While the ordeal ended safely, the incident served as a reminder of how quickly a situation can turn dangerous in a crowded amusement park and the importance of close parental supervision.
