Melania Trump’s power dynamic shift with Donald is ‘talk of the White House’

Donald and Melania Trump marked their twentieth wedding anniversary earlier this year. While they always appear together in public, Melania has previously revealed that she and Donald do not always agree. According to a new source, the power dynamic between them has shifted, and it is now the “talk of the White House.”

Melania Trump was not always supportive of her husband, Donald Trump, standing for government a second time. Initially, sources indicated that she was not interested in another term in the White House, but that changed last fall as Donald entered the closing stages of his presidential campaign.

Still, Melania’s approach to her second term as First Lady differed from her first four years in the White House, which was maybe not surprising.

When Melania became First Lady in 2016, many people worried she wasn’t suited to the task. In January of this year, the former model told Fox that people “didn’t accept” or “didn’t understand” her the first time, and she didn’t get much support thereafter.

“Some people may consider me as just the president’s wife, but I’m standing on my own to fit in and be independent. I have my own opinions, yes and no. Melania continued, “I don’t always agree with what my husband says or does, and that’s okay.”

Though Melania stayed gone from Washington—and the spotlight—for a period after her husband’s inauguration, she has made some public appearances. Nonetheless, the message is clear: things will be different this time.

Melania Trump delivered a ‘peace letter’ to Vladimir Putin during the Alaska visit.
According to CNN, Melania had only made 19 public appearances in her second tenure as First Lady, compared to 40 after the same period in her first term.

The media has always been interested in Donald Trump and Melania’s relationship. While the First Lady was rarely seen in public during their second stint at 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue, it appears that she wields considerable power within the White House. Staff members have taken note of this.

During Donald Trump and Vladimir Putin’s recent meeting in Alaska, Melania delivered a letter to the Russian president without her husband there. Melania, in what could only be called as a “peace letter,” implored Putin to take into account the children affected by the Russian invasion in both Ukraine and Russia.

“Mr. Putin, you can singlehandedly restore their melodic laughter,” Melania Trump tweeted. “In protecting the innocence of these children, you will do more than serve Russia alone—you serve humanity itself.”

“Such a bold idea transcends all human division, and you, Mr. Putin, are fit to implement this vision with a stroke of the pen today,” according to her. “It is time.”

Melania Trump’s power dynamic shift with Donald is ‘buzz of the White House,’ a source claims.
Donald Trump published a letter from his wife, who has received much recognition for her work. While they are considered a team, Melania’s recent actions have become the “talk of the White House” as the power balance in their relationship appears to have shifted, according to the Daily Mail, citing a source.

“Behind closed doors, Trump has, for decades, regarded his wife as a top confidante and counsellor,” Kellyanne Conway, his 2016 campaign manager and senior counselor, told the Daily Mail. “Whether as an international business mogul, or TV star, or leader of the free world, it is Melania’s opinion that he has consistently sought.”

A second insider told the Daily Mail that many people in the White House are discussing about Melania’s leadership.

“It is definitely the talk of the White House. It makes you question what’s happened behind closed doors. Are we witnessing a breakdown of ranks?” The source informed the paper.

A third source suggested that Donald Trump may be seeking his wife for further guidance and thoughts due to his age.

“There is a possibility that [Trump] is reaching for Melania for both emotional and physical stability,” a source told me. “The president is growing older. His gait isn’t as stable.”
