The body language move Kate Middleton used to set Donald Trump straight

During his recent state visit to the UK, Donald Trump found himself seated next to Kate Middleton at a royal banquet — and, according to a body language expert, something rather unexpected unfolded.

Trump and First Lady Melania spent several days in Britain, where they were hosted with full ceremony by King Charles and Queen Camilla. The president also met with Prime Minister Keir Starmer, and together they announced a multi-billion-pound tech agreement.

This trip marked Trump’s second official state visit to the UK, a rare honor that many see as a charm offensive by the British establishment. As part of the festivities, the Royal Family welcomed him and Melania to a grand state banquet at Windsor.

At the banquet, Trump was seated beside the Princess of Wales, and the pair appeared to enjoy each other’s company. Body language expert Bruce Durham suggested that Kate may have even managed to gain the upper hand in their interaction.

“Notice how regal and composed she appears, looking at Trump as though he had made a cheeky or playful remark,” Durham told the Mirror. “What’s striking is that Trump is rarely anything but the alpha in the room. Yet here, his body language — shoulders raised, head slightly pulled back — suggests that Kate was in control, with him taking a more deferential role.”

Trump has long expressed admiration for the British royals, and he did not hold back in his praise of Kate during the visit.

“To see Her Royal Highness, Princess Catherine, so radiant, healthy, and beautiful — it’s truly an honor,” he said.
