Young Talent Steals the Spotlight:

In one of the most unforgettable blind auditions on The Voice Australia, 13-year-old Ethan Hall delivered a breathtaking performance of the classical piece “Pie Jesu” that left judges and audience members alike stunned.

Hall, originally from Adelaide and known online as “the hiccups kid” after a viral video of him singing the Australian national anthem while hiccupping, chose the sacred hymn “Pie Jesu” for his blind audition — a bold move in a competition usually dominated by contemporary pop songs.

From the moment the young singer began, his pure, angelic tone and impressive vocal control captured everyone’s attention. So striking was his delivery that all four coaches turned their chairs, a rare achievement in the blind audition stage. The emotional moment reduced Hall to tears as he realised he had advanced to the next round.

After the performance, Hall explained that he chose “Pie Jesu” because of the emotion and feeling he could convey through the piece — a decision that clearly paid off.
