Different people love different things and what is appealing for some might be off-putting for others. Well, in the case of a man from Pflugerville, Texas, his pink house, which he loves and feels at ease at, is described as repulsive by mostly all of his neighbors. Emilio Rodriguez, however, doesn’t care what others think as long as he’s happy with his unusual home!

In that regard, when we say it’s pink, we mean it. Pink covers everything, including the roof, the walls, the bricks, and even the pillars and gutters. The fact that this man is completely smitten with this color can also be seen in his tattoos, which are also pink. What’s more, he’s considering getting a pink driveway and a pink car, rather than changing colors as his neighbor demands.
Those who live nearby believe Emilio’s house has a negative impact on their property value. Emilio was paralyzed from the waist down after a car accident, and he claims that being surrounded by pink brings him strange comfort. Yes, he intends to paint the wheelchair in his favorite color.
The neighbors also complain that Emilio’s house does not complement the “mountain view,” but there is little they can do about it. “No HOA. “I planned it specifically for that reason, so when people get upset, I explain that there is no HOA here,” he told CBS Austin. “Even if they made a HOA right here, I’m grandfathered in, so we’re good.” “I did my homework ahead of time.”

There are those who adore this one-of-a-kind location. “It definitely adds a unique flavor to the neighborhood.” “There isn’t another house like this,” Emmanuel Alvarado, a neighbor a few blocks away, told FOX7. “I’d advise the neighbors to be open-minded. Because, you know, I believe you should put effort into being unique. To bring yourself and not be suppressed by what society considers normal.”
