A routine trip to the doctor’s office is usually nothing to worry about—but for some people, it turned into an experience they would never forget. One morning, I couldn’t hear out of my left ear. I waited a few days but didn’t improve. I had a bad ear infection and was prescribed medication at the doctor.
After running out of antibiotics, I returned for stronger ones. Those failed too. I went to an ear specialist after another month of this pattern. Within five minutes, the physician found wax on my eardrum, not infection.

After my visit, I could hear again. I was outraged because the doctors misdiagnosed me for two months and gave me unnecessary antibiotics.
