In today’s environment, family violence is a very common problem. It refers to a variety of actions taken by a person against a family member. Because of her controlling husband’s restrictions, a banker’s wife was forced to live without money.  Many criminals, for example, use separate, if not a secret, bank accounts in order to avoid paying taxes.

They can also restrict the victim’s access to assets or cut off access to family money. Overall, the abuse dynamic is frequently manifested in many forms of manipulation.

A banker’s wife revealed how all her expenses are strictly controlled by her financially restraining husband. The woman admitted that her husband, Simon, now 65, monitors her spending to the last penny and gives her £20 cash a day for extras, for which she must produce receipts.

Although the family lived in a big beautiful house and their children lead a wonderfully privileged life, the reality is quite the opposite. The woman mentioned that, despite driving her gleaming BMW and wearing designer boots, she became isolated and could not even afford to go out with other school mothers on her birthday.

After being especially cruel with his wife, Simon was also capable of apologizing, lavishing her with roses or a piece of jewelry. During one of their quarrels, one of the neighbors dialed 999 and the man was handcuffed and taken away in a police car.

Even though the couple lives apart today, Simon still does the food shop and arranges direct debits for the utilities. When the woman asked him for a divorce, he threatened her to cut off all money — even for the children.

What to do?
