This Family Grow All The Food They Need In Their Home’s Backyard Farm. Take a tour inside!

A family with an amazing property lives just a few blocks from a busy freeway in Pasadena, California. Their house is unlike any other in their urban area since they have a micro-farm that grows 400 different veggies and fruits in just 4000 square feet.

When Jules Dervaes discovered the taco shells he bought for his children were recalled because they were made with genetically modified corn, he decided to create a backyard farm. That didn’t sit well with him, so he set his family on a path to self-sufficiency.

The family now eats what they raise, and with the farm producing 6,000 pounds of vegetables every year, they have plenty to eat and sell the remainder for additional cash!

The farm not only grows organic produce but also has hens, ducks, goats, and bees. It’s an excellent tale about how one family has embraced urban homesteading and is leading the way in sustainable living!
