He was born an hour later, but he grew up to be older than his brother. Why is this so?

An interesting story happened in the Peterson family. They became the parents of twins — charming boys. But that’s not what surprised everyone so much. The reason for the phenomenon of these twins is that the baby who was born half an hour later became an older brother. And here’s why!

Emily Peterson gave birth to Samuel at 1 hour 39 minutes after midnight on November 6. His brother Ronan saw the world half an hour later, at 2.10 am on the same day. And everything would be fine if the transition to wintertime was not made on this day. All the clocks in the neighborhood have been turned back an hour.

It turns out that Ronan’s birth did not take place at 2:10, but an hour earlier at 1:10, as recorded on the baby’s birth certificate. That is how the older brother became the younger one.

This story spread like wildfire after it was published on the Facebook page of the Maternity Hospital where these boys were born. “This is a puzzle,” my husband said, surprised. “And it took me a whole day to understand the explanation of this entire story,” laughs the boys’ mother.

The midwife, who has worked at the hospital for over 40 years and delivered Emily, stated that this was the first time this situation had occurred in her practice. The boys were born perfectly healthy and without any anomalies. A joyful event took place at the Cape Cod Clinic in Massachusetts. The twins are currently at home, surrounded by parental care.
