Little Girl Says A Stranger Has Been Speaking To Her Every Morning Before School So Mom HIn El Dorado Hills, California, a little elderly man stands outside Marina Village Middle School early in the morning and greets each student with fist bumps and life advice before they start their school day.
And 94-year-old Wally Richardson, a veteran, loves doing it. Wally has been greeting the students there for the past 10 years, trying to make at least a little difference in their lives. And while some students and parents might think it’s a little strange… if not a little creepy…
For an old man to be dealing with teenagers before they start school, the kids appear to enjoy his company. According to one student named Audrey, he “encourages all the students as they walk in.” He talks about kindness, gives us advice, and gives us fist bumps!
It’s the highlight of the day!” When Audrey’s mother drove by, she realized why her daughter and the other students appreciated the elderly man greeting them. “This is exactly the kind of love and support our middle schoolers need,” her mother, Gina, said.
Every day, this man stands outside the school and gives the gift of encouragement to every student who comes near him.” Wally stated that all he wishes to do is leave a positive legacy for those children. A mural of some of Wally’s encouraging words can now be found on one of the school’s walls. Without a doubt, he is leaving a significant legacy.
