They were only classmates’ friends. However, life is full of surprises.

The most genuine emotion that stays with us until the end is childish infatuation. This is exactly what happened to our story’s heroes. Darren and Killie attended the same primary school. They were everywhere and always together. They completed their homework at school, on weekends, after school, and so on.

Classmates referred to them as “couples,” but the kids insisted they were just friends. When Darren was 10, his father was transferred to another job, and the family was forced to relocate Keely and Darren haven’t spoken since then because there was no phone or email to communicate with. Young people have grown up, planned their lives, and tried everything to find their place in the sun.

They both started families. However, the couple divorced in 2015. After her husband left, Keely felt lonely, reminisced about the good old days, and decided to reconnect with a former classmate via social media. She recognized him in the photo right away and sent a request.

Because they lived in different cities, the ex-friends corresponded by letter for several months before deciding to meet in person and talk normally. And it was this chance meeting that proved to be fateful – love at first sight. Now that Darren and Killie are planning their wedding, they believe the wasted time was worthwhile.
