Woman Buys 1966 GMC Commuter Greyhound Bus, Then Spends 3 Years Transforming It Into A Tiny Home

Jessie Lipskin, 30, of New York City, decided to downsize and live a more minimalist lifestyle. This decision is becoming increasingly popular as people trade in their McMansions for a more sustainable way of life. Plus, as a New York resident, space is a valuable resource, so it makes sense to make the most of what you have! Jessie discovered her one-of-a-kind tiny home base on eBay: a 1966 GMC Commuter Greyhound bus.

Friends and contractors assisted her in transforming this vintage bus into the most adorable tiny home. She put $125,000 into the venture. The former Greyhound bus is currently for sale on eBay for around $50,000. Jessie chose this adorable home because of its aesthetic and ability to meet her lifestyle requirements. This amazing transformation took three years to complete…

You won’t be able to tell the difference between the old and new bus!”After learning more about sustainable lifestyles, Earthships, tiny homes, and all of that, the transition felt pretty natural.” When asked about her transition to a more minimalist lifestyle with the tiny home, Jessie said, “I kind of just went all in.” As with any remodling adventure, there were a few hiccups along the way (pun intended).

Jessie didn’t have her driver’s license when she bought the bus, so she relied on her friends for assistance. “I drove it back to upstate New York with two friends, and I rented a place up there for a while while working on it and gutting it.” “I moved it to New Jersey because I knew people who could help me work on it there,” she explained.Even though this is a small house, it has all of the latest and greatest modern appliances.

It has a large sink, hardwood countertops, an oven, and a stove top. It also includes a full washer and dryer, instant hot water, and a propane tank.Across from the kitchen is a bathroom with a standing shower. The adorable bedroom is Jessie’s favorite spot in the tiny house.
