Steve Jones is a brilliant British aerospace mechanic who is here to present one of their most amazing projects to date. He was able to orchestrate one of the most incredible transformations you will ever witness in this regard. The video begins by zooming in on the #4 jet engine housing (nacelle). While this was discovered in a retired Vickers VC10, he quickly transformed it into something entirely different.

In fact, the concept he devised is absolutely brilliant. Instead of leaving the jet engine housing alone, he successfully converted it into a custom camper trailer for his family. We can’t even imagine how excited they must have been. The contemporary interior is outfitted with amenities that you would not expect. His family can sleep in four beds, the walls are carpeted, and the kitchen is fully functional.

In addition to these features, there is a lift-off window, which is one of the jet’s original features.”I had the once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to convert the #4 engine nacelle off VC10 XV104 into my new 4 berth caravan pod.” “Enjoy my journey from plane to pod,” he says in the video. The project would take a long time to complete, but Steve was willing to put in the time and effort. He worked on this transformation for a whopping six years.

The man also put in 1,000 man-hours on the hunt. “Everything is finished!” What a task. It took me just over 1000 man hours to transform this one-of-a-kind pod from an aircraft engine nacelle into my new VC10 caravan pod. “I adore it and can’t wait to put it to use this year,” he added. The transformation he was able to achieve is truly remarkable!
