Harry Byrne, seven, has gone on an amazing fundraising drive to help his younger brother, Ruben, who has a rare and undiagnosed genetic illness.Ruben’s condition necessitates ongoing medical attention, drugs, and rising costs. To collect funds for Ruben and other very ill children, Harry has pledged to walk 10,917 kilometers in three months, which is the circumference of the Moon along its equator.
Harry hopes to raise £4,000 for Julia’s House Children’s Hospice and the Naomi House & Jacksplace Children’s Hospice Fund through his project. Harry’s dedication has gotten a lot of attention, with friends, family, and even strangers joining him as “Moonwalkers” in support of his cause. Harry’s deep friendship with Ruben inspires his determination, and he offers his brother unflinching support throughout the most difficult times.
Ruben also helps with the fundraising, and Harry pushes him in a wheelchair whenever feasible. Sophie, the boys’ mother, appreciates the hospice nurses’ aid, which allows her to take a well-deserved break. Harry has attracted over 300 fans through regular Facebook updates, many of whom have walked beside him or provided donations to help the hospices.
Harry’s selflessness and drive continue to inspire and motivate all those involved in the charity event, which will run through the end of October. This extraordinary program not only helps Ruben and other children in need, but it also produces priceless memories for the Byrne family, guaranteeing that Harry and Ruben’s link is forever strong.
