Parents seldom know what to expect from their children. Even though they appear to be peaceful and well-behaved, they could easily be up to naught good.Kelsey Golden of Ricardo, Texas, has three children and knows a thing or two about dealing with the unexpected curveballs that children like to hurl. Even so, the seasoned mother was taken aback by her youngest son’s latest trick, and she hasn’t stopped giggling since!Kelsey was at home with Barrett, her 2-year-old son, while her older children were in school.
While Barrett was playing with her phone, she was working on her computer. She claims the child enjoys using the phone’s camera, so she believed that’s what he was doing. She was sorely mistaken . “He was really just flicking it around and making like roller coaster moves with his arms and fingers,” she joked. “I thought he was just looking in the mirror and carrying the phone around, and then about 30 minutes later, I got a text from DoorDash saying, hey, it’s going to take a little longer than usual to take your order.”
Kelsey was perplexed and wondered whether she’d ordered some Happy Meals to be delivered to her older children’s school. She’d done it before, but she couldn’t remember placing an order. She even called the school to let them know a driver was on the way. Instead, a knock came on her door at home.”So I go ahead and open the door, and there’s this girl standing there, and she’s like, ‘Your 31 cheeseburgers?'” Kelsey burst out laughing. “I just stared at her awkwardly for about 15 seconds, but then I took them, like, ‘Oh, thank you!'”
Barrett had supposedly ordered 31 cheeseburgers from the nearby McDonald’s! Not only that, but he generously added a $16 tip, bringing the total to $91.70. Barrett, that’s a pricey meal! In case you’re wondering, the answer is no. Barrett isn’t even a fan of cheeseburgers!”He ate half of one,” the irritated mother explained. “We had about 30 and a half cheeseburgers on our hands.” Kelsey shared her cheeseburger bounty on Facebook because sharing is caring. She soon had complete strangers stopping by for a complimentary burger!
“One was a pregnant woman, and she wanted six, no judgment, you know?” she joked. “I was pregnant three different times.”Kelsey maintained her sense of humor and remained focused on what was important. “It was an innocent thing.” Kelsey stated. “He was just messing around with my phone.” I don’t put too much emphasis on perfection. What important is that my children are quite happy.”
