A son took his mother to an old age home, where he paid her visits on occasion.

Following his father’s death, the Son decided to leave his mother in an old age home and only visit her on occasion. He once received a call from an old age facility….Mom is dead serious…..please come to see me. Son went to see mum, who was in severe condition and on her deathbed.

He said, “Mom, what can I do for you?”Mom responded… “There are no fans at the old age home, so please put some…. Also, install a refrigerator to improve food storage because I frequently went to bed hungry.”

Son was taken aback and asked, “Mom, you never complained while you were here; now you have a few hours left and you’re telling me all this?” Mom responded, “It’s OK dear, I’ve managed with the heat, hunger, and pain, but I’m afraid you won’t be able to manage when your children send you here!”

She urged me to be careful with what I left behind and stated that this is why she wants to modernize the old age home because she is afraid that one day, possibly, my children will abandon me there and I will go through what she went through. Her parting words were, “What you give is what you get.”[/caption]
