While we all know and appreciate a nice cream pie, when we see them on restaurant menus, our options are usually restricted to banana cream or coconut cream. We have nothing against either of those classics,
but when we had a yearning for cream pie the other week, we knew we wanted to make something similar but not quite as traditional as the aforementioned desserts. sugar cream pie!This recipe yields a creamy, custardy pie with a wonderful “crust” on top that crackles slightly as it cooks, adding visual interest and making it even tastier.
