Ozzy Osbourne made headlines earlier this year when he announced the cancellation of his live comeback tour, just months after retiring from touring due to severe health issues. The 74-year-old heavy metal rocker and Black Sabbath lead singer has had a string of health issues in recent years.The Crazy Train singer has a long history of health issues, including a significant spine injury suffered in an ATV accident in 2003 that resulted in numerous fractured bones.

In 2019, Ozzy also experienced a devastating fall, which he claimed “screwed up all the vertebrae” in his neck in a Twitter message.Ozzy’s health issues forced him to cancel his appearance at the Power Trip festival in California in July. Metallica, Guns N’ Roses, AC/DC, Tool, and Iron Maiden were supposed to perform at the event, which was scheduled for October.
Fans are naturally concerned after hearing the famed Brit’s newest health update on a recent episode of The Osbournes Podcast. During the show, which aired on Tuesday, September 12th, Ozzy disclosed that he needed yet another operation—his fourth since his 2019 fall.Sharon Osbourne, his wife and manager, Jack Osbourne, and Kelly Osbourne, all of whom participated on the first season of The Osbournes, joined him on the podcast.

Ozzy explained, “My lower back is, I’m going for an epidural soon because what’s happening, what they’ve discovered is the neck has been fixed, below the neck there’s two vertebrae where the bike hit me and disintegrated, there’s nothing left of ’em.”Since his last tour in 2018, Ozzy has only performed two live gigs. Multiple tours have been canceled due to illness since 2019, the most recent being the Power Trip Festival. Ozzy has another operation set, but he says, “I don’t know what the doctors are doing.”
