Sunshine, picnics, and beach outings are all wonderful. Unfortunately, irritating pests such as mosquitoes, flies, and midges will be present. Commercial repellents are widely accessible, although they frequently contain chemicals that many people would like to avoid. If you prefer a more natural approach, this homemade repellent is for you. Ingredients derived from nature: Making your own repellent allows you to control exactly what goes into it. There are no hidden chemicals or additions.
Most ingredients are inexpensive and may be purchased in your cupboard or at your local grocery shop. Environmentally Friendly: By employing natural components, you may reduce the environmental impact of commercial repellant manufacturing and disposal. Ingredients: 1/2 cup Hazel (Witch Hazel), a half-cup of apple cider vinegar, 40 drops essential oils (citronella, eucalyptus, lavender, lemon, or tea tree oil, for example).
Instructions: In a spray bottle, combine witch hazel and apple cider vinegar. 40 drops of your preferred essential oil(s). Citronella and lemon are especially good against mosquitoes, eucalyptus against flies, and lavender against midges. Shake vigorously before each use. Spray directly on exposed flesh and clothing. If you must spray on your face, spritz on your hands first and then pat onto your face. Avoid touching your eyes or lips. Reapply as needed every 2-3 hours.
