“Do you recall performing in front of hundreds of people at Christmas and year-end school functions?” That is the story of Oscar Donnelly, a 6-year-old boy from Scotland. His parents, Annie and Chris, discovered him dancing all the time when he stopped crawling, and they encouraged his inventiveness from the start. There was something about his love of dance that made them believe it was his destiny.
He not only had a tremendous ability for it, but he also had an unmistakable passion for it. Could he make it? They had no idea that years later, he would be able to audition for British Got Talent. Oscar was far more interested in traditional Irish dance than in modern dance styles such as hip-hop or jazz. It was the ideal method for him to commemorate his ancestors while pursuing something he was passionate about.
Oscar’s talent grew with time, and he became well-known among Irish dance fans. It was just a matter of time before the rest of the world recognized Oscar’s talents! So, when Oscar’s parents learned about the Got Talent auditions, they were ecstatic. They knew their son would be involved. Oscar had the perfect opportunity to shine on stage and showcase the skill he had been given. But how would he perform in front of such a large crowd?
