After 20 years of hiding, actress who played Rizzo in Grease emerges; she is unrecognizable. Grease was launched in 1978 and quickly became a fan favorite around the world, and it is still enjoyed by young and old alike today. The fantastic soundtrack and dance have made the film a great masterpiece that will be remembered for many years to come.
The film, which included known performers such as John Travolta and Olivia Newton-John, soon soared to stardom, spawning some new rising stars in the process. Fans of the musical Grease may recall Stockard Channing, who played the rebel Rizzo in the film. Because of her involvement, Stockard is still a household name.
Channing was 34 years old when she wasportrayed as a high school student, and her appearance has evolved dramatically over the years. Stockard Channing made a rare television appearance on the ITV show Lorraine Today. It’s difficult to believe Channing is now 73 years old. She made an appearance on Lorraine Kelly’s daytime chat show to promote her new West End production, “Apologia.”
Many showgoers were taken aback by how different Channing looked. Her teen appearance has altered dramatically since her debut in Grease in the 1970s. Although Channing’s long-time followers remain devoted to her, they were taken aback by how different she appeared. During her interview, Channing told Lorraine that she found it “daunting” so many people were still obsessed with Grease all these years later.
With the film’s 40th anniversary coming, it’s going to be a big year for the cast of the musical classic. When asked about the film’s success, Channing stated, “I don’t want to believe it!” I don’t want to consider that figure! I am the world’s oldest living adolescent! Coming out of the theater with people pushing photos in your face is a little intimidating.”
Many viewers were more concerned with Channing’s appearance and obvious plastic surgery. They couldn’t believe their eyes when they saw how different she appeared, so different from how they imagined her to seem. “What the hell had Rizzo done to her face?!?!?” shouted one on social media. (sic).”
“Good grief, Stockard Channing looks completely different on #Lorraine.” It’s a shame that people believe they can’t mature gracefully.” “Oh, no. On @ITVLorraine, Stockard Channing is looking a little spooky.” “What the hell happened to Stockard Channing’s face?” She can hardly speak.”
More people commented on Mirror’s website. “It’s really a shame that (mostly) women believe they must continue to undergo numerous treatments in order to look youthful. I’m sure she would have aged beautifully without all the fillers, and she’s a lovely woman.” “I see women in their seventies and eighties and they look lovely with wrinkles and their skin look nourished I don’t know why these celebrities bother why don’t they just except getting older.”
“Is it any surprise that people with more money than sense try and fail to retain a look they had 40 years ago?” As a result, they appear quite terrifying. There is no shame in appearing 73, and if more actors and actresses faced up to people who insist they don’t look their age, things would change for the better.”
