Marta Stewart has a large number of global fans and devotees, making her a well-liked star. Many people are still labeling her “tone-deaf” because of a social media post she made while in Greenland. Though her Sports Illustrated swimsuit cover in May received a lot of attention, the 82-year-old’s most recent Instagram photo hasn’t received as much attention.
On Tuesday, August 29, Stewart shared a selfie from her voyage near Greenland’s eastern shore. In one of the photos, the entrepreneur and TV celebrity is holding a drink. The caption is as follows: “The first zodiac cruise from @swanhelleniccruises into a very beautiful fjord on Greenland’s east coast has come to an end.” We caught a tiny iceberg for our cocktails tonight.
“Even though Stewart’s post was presumably meant to be innocent, it rapidly became a target of her followers’ ire since they thought using the “small iceberg” as a garnish for her drink was tasteless. Almost immediately after declaring that the “ice caps are melting,” Stewart’s comment area was swamped with people chastising her for alluding to a little iceberg.”Martha, the ice caps are melting, don’t put them in your drink,” commented one Instagram user.
Another said, “I generally love Martha and the excesses of her life because he’s about beautiful gardens, homes, and food, but wealthy white people drinking their iceberg cocktails while the planet is in flames is a bit tone deaf.” “As the climate warms as a result of a couple thousand people’s profits, billionaires vacation to the melting icebergs, scoop them up, and use them to keep their cocktails cold.” That seems like something out of a dystopian novel. “I can’t make this shit up,” a third joked.
“We need glacier ice for cocktails despite global warming and melting ice caps!” Talk about tone deafening. “I’ve been a fan for years, but as I struggle to buy groceries, I’ve seen enough caviar that I’m out,” remarked a fourth. Stewart made waves in May when she posed for the cover of Sports Illustrated in racy bikinis. Furthermore, the 81-year-old detailed her past strict wellness regimen.
“I didn’t starve myself, but I didn’t eat any bread or pasta for a couple of months,” Stewart said on the Today show.”I went to Pilates every other day, and it was great; I still go every other day because it’s so good.” And I simply live a clean life in general – excellent diet, good exercise, healthy skincare, and all of that.” During her keynote speech, Stewart highlighted the good response to the “authentic” cover with guests of the Las Vegas event.
“The response to it was really encouraging because it made women of all ages feel like, ‘If she can do it, then I can do it too,'” she said. Martha Stewart, 81, will be featured on the cover of the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit issue, a fashion newspaper, on Thursday.
