After an embarrassing accident as she and her father walked down the aisle, a married woman is giving advice. The service and celebrations that follow are a happy, joyful time when family and friends watch two people in love make holy promises to each other. Every part of the meeting has been carefully planned, and one small problem can throw off the whole day. Mishaps and an angry bride are likely to happen when things don’t go as planned.
A woman who had a disaster at the worst possible time during her 2021 wedding is speaking out to warn others. In a TikTok video, 36-year-old Sarah Grundman-Connors tells all women who are getting married in 2024 to do one thing before they walk down the aisle. “Make sure that whoever is walking you down the aisle is wearing suspenders for this one reason,” Sarah says.
A video clip of Sarah going down the aisle with her father by her side plays behind her as she talks. Around the middle of the video, her dad’s pants fall down, showing everyone his underwear. Sarah says, “I know, that was my day,” at the end of the video. People spoke to Sarah, who said that her father had lost some weight because he was sick a few weeks before her wedding.
There was no trouble during the pictures taken hours before the wedding. It didn’t look like her dad’s pants were a problem. But bad things happened just as Sarah and her father were getting close to the altar. As his parents walked down the aisle, her father told her that they were going to fall. Sarah remembers that her dad told her that her dad’s pants were getting too short.
Sarah said, “I squeezed his hand and told him to hold them up with his right hand. We’re almost there.” “They were on the floor before we knew it.” She also said that everyone in the room laughed out loud when her dad took his pants off around his legs.
