Demi Moore wears jaw-dropping dress to Met Gala created from wallpaper and took 11,000 hours to embroider

As predicted, there were many unusual and stunning clothes on display at yesterday’s 2024 Met Gala, but actress Demi Moore may have worn the most eye-catching. The 61-year-old made her first Met Gala appearance in five years, wearing a gown reportedly made of wallpaper! Moore’s gown included heart-shaped wings that extended out from her sides, as well as a pink-and-white floral design, which she paired with Cartier diamond jewelry.

After capturing the attention of photographers and fans across the world who followed the event, Moore claimed that the dress was “not heavy at all” and made her “want to rumba.” As previously said, Harris Reed created the exquisite gown out of wallpaper, saying that the endeavor required an amazing 11,000 hours of silk embroidery.”It all started with this incredible Cartier necklace that Demi is wearing,” the designer explained during the occasion.”

It was inspired by the floral vibe it gave me. The entire sculpture is built from ancient archival wallpaper. We repurposed it. We recycled 11,000 hours of silk embroidery to create this image of her flowering on the carpet. “I wished to be the vines to her thorns.” Moore last attended the Met Gala in 2019, before the COVID-19 epidemic. On that occasion, she chose Saint Laurent’s all-black gown with a plunging neckline.

Last month, the Indecent Proposal star drew attention when she attended Dolce & Gabbana’s 40th anniversary celebration. For the event, the 61-year-old actress donned a see-through black dress, basic black undergarments, and simple black heels. Moore kept her makeup simple, opting for soft-pink lipstick and strong mascara to let her outfit stand out. She wore no jewelry to the occasion, and her long dark hair fell to her waist.”She appears unbelievable for her age. “BRAVO,” one user said on Instagram.

Another said, “I swear she and Cher are vampires and the most beautiful women in Hollywood.” As a nurse, I can identify their age by the way they walk, as does Madonna. Our gate and bones are not something that plastic surgeons can change. Kudos to everyone for aging gracefully, and I want to be like them someday.”
