Butter Pecan Sheet Cake

For all you nut lovers out there, there is one taste combination that we believe does not receive the respect it deserves. Why don’t more people recognize how good butter pecan treats are? They’re salty, sweet, and absolutely delightful. Don’t worry, we’re here to show it the love it deserves and persuade non-butter-pecan-lovers that it’s genuinely great.

Today’s recipe will be a butter pecan sheet cake.It’s a delicious (but not overpowering) cake with nuts in both the cake and the frosting, and it’s nearly impossible not to fall in love with it.

While you could easily make this into a two or three-layer cake, we prefer a sheet cake because the thinner layer of cake and frosting allows you to increase the taste without risk of it becoming cloying or overpowering.

Trust us, the flavors are crystal apparent, the nuts provide the perfect amount of crunch, and the glaze is insanely delicious. We prepare this dessert more frequently as the seasons change, but there is never a poor time to make it – it’s too good to pass up!
