A loud beating on the door at 3 a.m. wakes up a husband and wife. The husband glances out the bedroom window through the heavy rain and notices a car parked on the street in front. He goes up to answer the door, and an intoxicated stranger standing in the rain requests a push. “Not a chance!” exclaims the spouse. “Do you know what time it is?” “Get lost.” He shuts the door and goes back to bed.

“Who was that?” he asks his wife. He grumbles, “Just some drunk guy asking for a push.” “Did you help him?” she inquires. “Not. It’s 3 a.m. and pouring rain outside. I told him to get lost. His wife responds, “Don’t you remember about three months ago, when we broke down and those two guys stopped to help us?” That man needs your assistance, and you just left him out there? You should feel embarrassed of yourself. “Go help him!”

The husband mutters, “Fine.” He unwillingly gets dressed, goes downstairs, and steps outside into the pouring rain. “Hello? “Are you still there?” He calls out into the darkness. “Yes!” a voice replies. “Do you still need a push?” asks the husband. “Yes, please!” comes the response from the darkness. “Where are you?” asks the spouse. The drunk replies, “Over here, on the swing set!”
