A gentleman and a lady were dining in a fancy restaurant. While attending to another table, the waitress noticed the man rapidly sinking into his seat and going beneath the table, while the wife appeared unconcerned. Observing the event, the waitress saw the man glide easily down his chair before disappearing beneath the table.

The woman opposite him maintained a controlled and unaffected look, obviously unaware of her companion’s disappearance. After finishing the order, the server approached the table and addressed the woman, saying, “Excuse me, madam, but I believe your husband has just slipped beneath the table.”

In response, the woman looked up at the waitress with confidence and said, “No, he didn’t. “He simply entered through the door.”
