Anne Hathaway reached a critical milestone in her quest to sobriety. The 41-year-old actress claimed that she has been practicing healthy habits for five years. Hathaway also acknowledged her delight at attaining this milestone and recounted an incident that helped her overcome the unhealthy habit.
When asked what she thought about middle age, Hathaway mentioned her sobriety. In her latest film, The Idea of You, Hathaway stars as Solène, a 40-year-old divorced mother who falls in love with a younger man—a boy band singer played by Nicholas Galitzine. During an interview for her new position, she was asked about her feelings on middle age.
Hathaway replied, “I do not take it seriously. There are so many other things I consider milestones. I don’t generally talk about it, but I’ve been clean for nearly five years. “That feels like a milestone to me.” She recognized that this condition was most likely a coping mechanism for physical stress produced by a sense of disconnection from her body.
In terms of age, the actress stated that she considers herself fortunate to be her age, saying that “40 feels like a gift.” The truth is, I’m hesitant to use the term’middle age’ since I’m a semantic stickler and could be hit by a car later today. We’re not sure if this is middle age. “We know nothing.”The Princess Diaries actress emphasized that her choice was not intended to criticize this particular practice. “I knew deep down it wasn’t for me,” she added, recalling how difficult it was to explain to others that she wasn’t drinking at all at first.
Hathaway eventually had a discovery that prompted her stop being so hard on herself about her decision: “If you’re allergic to something or have an anaphylactic reaction to something, you don’t argue with it. So I quit debating with it,” the actress remarked, emphasizing that she does not judge anyone.Hathaway decided to start a healthy lifestyle as she adjusted to being a mother of two. Her oldest kid, Johnathan, has just turned eight, and her youngest, Jack, is three years old. The actress stated that she made this decision for the next 18 years while her sons were living in her home.
Talking about her eldest son, she revealed an incident that made her consider giving up the unhealthy habit: “He’s getting to the age where he really does need me all the time in the mornings.” I did a school run one day and dropped him off at school; I wasn’t driving, but I was hungover, so that was enough. I didn’t enjoy that one.”
The Oscar-winning actress has vowed to eliminate as many bad behaviors as possible from her life, such as using social media. “I make a lot of lifestyle decisions to promote my mental health. I stopped participating in activities that I knew were taxing or could lead to spirals. “I actually don’t have a relationship with myself online,” Hathaway admitted.
